Revenues from indirect taxes in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the four months of 2023 amounted to three billion and 204 million BAM and are higher by 199 million BAM or 6.61 percent compared to the same period in 2022 when they amounted to three billion and five million BAM.
The Administration for Indirect Taxation (ITA) of BiH announced that after the ITA returned 714 million BAM to the economy in four months of 2023 based on VAT refunds, the net collected revenues were distributed to beneficiaries, namely the state, entities and Brčko District, amounted to two billion and 489 million BAM and are higher by 134 million BAM compared to the income that users received from the Single Account for the same period in 2022.
“In April 2023 alone, 775 million BAM of indirect taxes were collected,” the ITA states.
It is added that an amount of 333 million BAM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the four months of 2023.
“The largest part of the income from indirect taxes, as well as all the collected surplus income, ended up with the entities and Brčko District. Thus, in the four months of 2023, one billion and 331 million BAM was distributed to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 725 million BAM to the Republic of Srpska, and 74 million to the Brčko District million BAM”, the announcement states.
Based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of BiH received an additional 64.5 million BAM, the Republika Srpska 42.6 million BAM and the Brčko District 2.1 million BAM.
