denis zvizdicChairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and prime ministers of the countries in the region will take part in the Summit of Leaders of the Western Balkans that will be held today in Paris, after Belin and Vienna.

Zvizdić stated yesterday that the Summit in Paris will be divided into two thematic units and BiH will be an engaged part of one important regional initiative launched within the Berlin initiative.

“That is the establishment of a regional center for cooperation of the youth in all aspects, from social to cultural and educational aspects. BiH will be a very engaged participant in such regional cooperation. Therefore, I announce the nice news that we still are a country that fulfills its obligations within the Berlin initiative,” Zvizdić said.

Zvizdić will today attend the plenary session of heads of governments in the Elysee palace. Participants of the session will discuss the European perspective of the region and cooperation in the domain of migrations, security and fight against terrorism. French President Francois Hollande will have the introductory word, and the gathering will be attended by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

Moreover, Zvizdić and prime ministers of Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia should sign an agreement on the establishment of the regional office for youth cooperation, stated the Information Office of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

Delegations of 12 countries will gather in Paris, six from the EU member countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, France, Italy and Austria) and six from the Western Balkans (Albania, BiH, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia).

At the meeting, it will be talked about the previously achieved progress in two fields (connectivity of traffic and energy infrastructure in the Western Balkans) in order to encourage economic cooperation and in initiatives for youth in order to increase their mobility within the region and the EU, with the aim of improving their prospects for employment and strengthen their role as a factor in accession of their countries to the EU.
