General Director Bokova expressed satisfaction for the good relations and cooperation between BiH and UNESCO, stressing the need to continue cooperation in the domain of cultural and natural heritage, and activities tied to the promotion of UNESCO in BiH.

She said that BiH and UNESCO have good cooperation, that UNESCO is in the center of the process that promotes peace and stability in the Balkans with its long engagement, and that Balkan countries have to find mutual interest and value that are tied to the promotion of culture and history and promote national projects at the same time.

They spoke of the monuments that are on the list of cultural heritage; nature and architecture of Jajce, Sarajevo-unique symbol of universal multiculturalism, nature and architecture of Počitelj, Blaga, Blidinje, Stolac, and the natural resource-cave Vjetrenica in Popovi field with the architectural beauty of Zavala.

Chairman Radmanović mentioned that the “zmijanjski vez” was nominated for the first time, which should soon be inscribed on the representative list of the immaterial cultural heritage of UNESCO.

It was mentioned that several countries in the region are working on the promotion of joint projects regarding stećci, which creates an affirmative image of the Balkans and cooperation of countries in the region.

Chairman of the BIH Presidency said that BiH supports and follows all that UNESCO is doing, and that for us it is important to show the cultural and historical heritage of BiH, which could contribute to the building of a positive image of BIH and the region in the world.

He expressed gratitude for all that UNESCO has done and is doing for the promotion of the cultural and historical value of BiH, and called General Director Bokova to visit BiH, announced the BiH Presidency.
