MEDIJSKA PISMENOSTThe promotion of the book ‘Media Literacy in B&H’ by Leea Tajić will be held today at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Sarajevo.

‘’Media literacy in B&H belongs to the category of pioneering research efforts in B&H, which in a systematic way looks for answers to the questions: what is media literacy today in B&H, and how to improve the level of media literacy of B&H citizens’’, announced Internews in B&H, the publisher of this book.

The book is the result of research for the purpose of writing a master’s thesis at the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo. Author Lea Tajić analyzes the current situation of media literacy in B&H, and considers the development potential in accordance with the definitions and parameters of development of this area at the level of the EU, where media literacy advocates as one of the main mechanisms of ‘active citizen participation in social processes’.

This was published as part of the program for media literacy, USAID’s project of support to independent media in B&H, implemented by Internews in B&H.
