The Deputy Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivica Bošnjak and the Minister of Interior of Lithuania Vladislav Kondratovič signed today in Sarajevo the Protocol between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on the implementation of the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Community on the readmission of persons staying illegally.

The protocol defines the competent institutions in both countries and establishes procedures for more effective implementation of obligations and cooperation in the area of security that Bosnia and Herzegovina established with the European Union.

During the meeting between Bosniaks and Kondratovič, it was pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lithuania want to intensify mutual relations and establish cooperation between competent bodies to resolve requests for readmission, which are assessed as extremely important for security and preservation of public order, announced the Ministry of Security of BiH.
