Supreme Court of the FBiH Imposes Restrictive Measures on Minister Vojin Mijatovic

The Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH accepted the proposal of the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for the Fight against Corruption and Crime (POSKOK) and ordered measures of prohibition against Vojin Mijatović, Nevzet Sefa and Adis Fajić, against whom an indictment was brought due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that they had committed the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority.

As POSKOK spokeswoman Nina Hadžihajdarević confirmed for BHRT, Vojin Mijatović is prohibited from performing the official duties of the Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the FBiH and any other official function within the FBiH Government, i.e. performing managerial duties in the executive authorities of the FBiH.

The measures were imposed after POSKOK requested restrictions for Minister Vojin Mijatović and the other defendants in the case related to favoritism during the allocation of almost one million KM of budget money.

According to the indictment, which was confirmed on September 15, Vojin Mijatović, Nevzet Sefo, Adis Fajić, Bojan Lazić and Harun Mlivo are accused of acting as co-perpetrators from January to September 2025 with the aim of obtaining illegal property benefits for the Sarajevo company “38X Ventures”, which acted on behalf of the “Techstars Sarajevo” consortium.

The prosecution accuses them of favoring this consortium when awarding grant funds from the current transfers of the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts for the year 2025. It is about grants in the amount of 997,363.80 KM, for which, according to the indictment, the company “38X Ventures” was given a more favorable position in the process of selecting beneficiaries. The indictment also includes the legal entity “38X Ventures” d.o.o. Sarajevo, due to suspicion of abuse of position or authority.
