Deputy Director of the State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety Zoran Tesanovic announced that a set of laboratory equipment for the detection of coronaviruses will be provided and delivered to the Clinical Center in Banja Luka, Klix.ba news portal reports.
The announcement came as part of a session of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Coordination Body for Protection and Rescue, which is being held in Sarajevo, convened by Bosnian Security Minister Fahrudin Radoncic, the chairman of that body.
“We expect another such set of laboratory equipment to be delivered to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo,” Tesanovic said, adding that it was the latest technology.
He states that 100 patients will be able to be tested in one day.
“The value is 250 thousand euros per set. It will be an urgent delivery and will arrive in Banja Luka very soon. It is a complete laboratory. They will receive a thousand tests and will have to obtain them later,” he said.
According to him, one request was made for veterinary needs. “On Monday, we will know when exactly the set of laboratory equipment will be delivered,” Tesanovic concluded.
