The basketball players of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against Portugal in the first round of the pre-qualification tournament for the Olympic Games, starting at 4:30 p.m. today in the Polish city of Gliwice.
This will be the fifth duel between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Portugal.
In the previous four games, our selection achieved the same number of victories.
In 2009, the basketball players of BiH beat the Portuguese with 62:56 and 73:61 in the additional qualifications for Eurobasket, Rezentacija.ba reminds.
The remaining two matches were of a friendly nature. In 2016, BiH beat Portugal with a score of 83:78, and a year later, 62:58.
The coach is counting on the following players for today’s duel:
Miralem Halilović, Džanan Musa, Luka Garza, Amar Alibegović, Jusuf Nurkić, Amar Gegić, Adi Zahiragić, Aleksandar Lazić, Adin Vrabac, Edin Atić, Haris Delalić and Kenan Kamenjaš.
In the second match of our group at 1:30 p.m., hosts Poland and Hungary meet.
The first two selections from the group will advance to the semi-finals, where they will play the best two teams from group A (Czech Republic, Israel, Estonia, North Macedonia).
