A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Srđan Babić, born in 1978 in Bileća, citizen of BiH.

The accused is charged with having illegally procured a larger quantity of cigarettes, which were not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of BiH, with the intention of placing cigarettes on the illegal market.

According to the indictment, after he had previously procured cigarettes from a person known to him, authorised officials of the Police Station Goražde carried out regular inspection of his motor vehicle in the area of Goražde in the morning of 10 May 2019 and in the trunk of the vehicle found and temporarily seized more than 6,000 boxes of cigarettes of various types without excise stamps, which were illegally procured for sale in the area of Pale.

The Accused is charged with the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Excise Products under Article 210a. (1) in conjunction with Article 26 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
