The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sefik Dzaferovic, met with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Gent Cakaj.
During the talks, it was stated that the bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania are extremely good in the political, economic and cultural plan, and that there are no open issues between the two countries, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.
It was emphasized that there is a significant space for improving cooperation in the field of economy and tourism.
In that sense, progress has already been made, because the Presidency of BiH, at the last session, gave its consent for the signing of the agreement on economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.
The need for improving traffic connections was also emphasized, and the road Sarajevo – Podgorica – Tirana was pointed out as a priority.
The need to open embassies in Sarajevo and Tirana was also discussed, which would raise overall relations to a higher level.
It was assessed that the cooperation between the two countries in international organizations and associations is extremely good, as well as the cooperation in the processes of accession to Euro-Atlantic integration.
Chairman Dzaferovic emphasized that in the coming period he expects the intensification of political, economic and cultural relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, in the mutual interest of the two countries.
