A Boy who united BiH, lost his Battle with Illiness

evelin-boyEvelin Alajbegović, an 8 year old boy from Kakanj, who was last year diagnosed with a brain tumor, died yesterday.

Numerus residents of BiH participated in the action of collecting money for his operation in Turkey, as well as citizens of BiH and the Diaspora and the captain of the basketball team of BiH Mirza Teletović.

What is very positive in the story is the information that the municipality Kakanj donated the money intended for New Year’s Eve and paid Evelin’s operation. In only 48 hours, they all collected 130,000 BAM for departure and an operation in Istanbul, where the boy in January traveled accompanied by his mother. Despite all efforts, this eight years old he lost his battle with a serious illness.

The funeral will take place today in Donji Kakanj, and burial will take at the cemetery Bare.
