Karate representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina won one bronze medal and three fifth places at the 14th World Championship for cadets, juniors and junior seniors (U21), held from October 14 to 18 in the Polish city of Bielsko-Biała, announced the Karate Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that this is a notable result of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s karate players.

The best result was achieved by bronze medalist Vedad Mujić in the category U21 up to 67 kilograms. He is a member of the Champion Ilidža Karate Club.

Three Bosnia and Herzegovina national team members won fifth place in their respective categories – Ali Arnautović, a member of the Travnik TMT Karate Club, in the U21 up to 75 kilogram category, as well as Sanjin Hukara from the Samurai Ilidža Karate Club in the U21 up to 84 kilogram category, and Harun Smajić, a member of the Champion Ilidža Karate Club, in the U21 over 84 kilogram category.

The achieved placements are at the same time a confirmation of the quality work of the competitors, their coaches and home clubs and are an incentive for the continued development of karate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the BiH Karate Association.
