[wzslider autoplay=”true”]One of the most significant names of the world heavy metal scene Bruce Dickinson stayed in Sarajevo for several days due to filming of the movie “Scream For Me Sarajevo”, made by the production house Prime Time from Sarajevo.

The film shows the events following the arrival of Brice Dickinson and his band in the besieged Sarajevo in 1994, when they held the cult concert at the Bosnian Culture Center (BKC). Filming of the movie started in 2014 and lasted for one year continuously, ending up with the filming of Bruce Dickinson at various Sarajevo locations including the BKC, the Tunnel of Hope, cemetery Kovači, the Historical Museum of B&H etc.

Idea on the making of the documentary “Scream For Me Sarajevo” came from the author, Jasenko Pašić, who conducted the overall research and contacted persons who gave statements which were used in this film.

Film was produced by the Director of Prime Time Adnan Ćuhara, director is Tarik Hodžić, in cooperation with the co-producer Tatjana Bonny from London.

According to Pašić, the idea on making this film came up while reading the text written by the bass player of the band, Chris Dale, on the occasion of the concert in Sarajevo.

In the text, Dale speaks about the visit to Sarajevo, as well as about how much trace did that two-day visit leave on him, actually on his way of thinking and perception of everyday things.

“Bruce Dickinson, Alex Elena and Chris Dale told their story regarding Sarajevo. They were told they cannot come to Sarajevo because it is not safe, so they met with the members of Serious Road Trip organization who transported them from Split to Sarajevo in trucks. This heroic act, which gave hope to the citizens of Sarajevo that they are not forgotten, encouraged me to produce this film”, stated the film producer Adnan Ćuhara.

Upon the completion of filming, the British Ambassador to B&H Edward Ferguson organized an official reception for Dickinson. Reception at the residence of the Ambassador was attended by numerous invitees from the city of Sarajevo and famous names of B&H music and film scene. On this occasion, the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić handed over a “Golden Badge” to Dickinson, as a memory on the visit to the capital of B&H.

The documentary “Scream For Me Sarajevo” is expected to be premiered in summer 2016.
