Brussels Issues Warning: BiH Must Submit Reform Plan by June 30 or Risk Losing Over €100 Million

A warning has arrived from Brussels. If Bosnia and Herzegovina does not submit a complete plan for political, judicial and economic reforms to the European Commission by June 30, more than a hundred million euros earmarked for us could be reallocated to Serbia, Montenegro, Albania or North Macedonia, the media reports.

According to Radio Free Europe, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos sent a letter to the Council of Ministers of BiH, in which she warned that the European Commission would reduce the amount of funds by ten percent after the summit of Western Balkan leaders.

As a reminder, the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Draft List of Reforms and the Reform Agenda yesterday, but the procedure does not end there. Harmonization at other levels of government follows.

So far, the appointment of judges to the Constitutional Court of BiH and the mandatory implementation of its decisions throughout the country, as well as the abolition of the entity veto in the State Aid Council, have been controversial.
