A total of 36 women from rural areas in 14 municipalities in BiH received training on how to write business plans through a series of workshops that were held in Banja Luka and Pale. This increases their chances of having their new business ideas materialize into successful business ventures.

Successful participants of the trainings, who also obtained certificates, now have more chances to start or improve their business in one of the municipalities from which they come-Doboj, Doboj Jug, Bratunac, Čelinac, Srebrenica, Foča, East Sarajevo, Han Pijesak, Vlasenica, Tuzla, Visoko, Banja Luka, Novi Grad and Milići.

The objective of the training is for women from rural areas in BiH to become familiar with the principles of modern business planning, as well as to gain insight through which they can form their own business idea in an attractive way for potential donors, investors and financial institutions.

AECD has suggested that, apart from the workshops, there should be active cooperation with all participants in the next few months, so that they can transform their ideas into concrete business plans.

Through these activities the improvement of the business and development environment in rural areas is expected, and above all the role of women.
