Caravan: “Woman is the Source of Peace” started from Bihać

zena_izvor_miraCaravan named “Woman is the Source of Peace” started at 12th May from Bihać, from the main square, in the action which is implemented till 31st May in 12 cities of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The aim is the greater concern and continuity in culture of memory on the suffering of women and inclusion of women in the peace building process.

Action in framework of project Peace with Face of Woman-Empowering of women for Dealing with Past, announced one of the organizations included in action Voice of Woman from Bihać.

In cities, on different manifestations women will send a message of peace and open debates about the contribution of their experiences and achievements in the common culture memories.

All organizations will send the requests for increase of streets named by women, especially for ones who gave the contribution to local communities.

Common initiative of all 12 organizations is to suggest to Parliamentary assembly of Bosnia-Herzegovina, to establish the day of memory on women suffered in the war-Day of memory on women victims of war.
