Cardinal Puljic talking on Bishops Plan of Regionalization

cardinal Vinko PuljicArchbishop of Vrhbosna Cardinal Vinko Puljic said that the recent headlines about a plan of bishops of BiH on the regionalization of the country are certain kind of manipulation because they have drawn out a plan that dates back to 2005 and that everyone had ignored.

Puljic said that the bishops drew up that plan 12 years ago because representatives of the international community objected that they only criticize and attack, and do not suggest anything.

“Then we bishops suggested that mode, thinking that they are standing behind what they say, that they want a multi-ethnic state of BiH”, says Cardinal Puljic.

If someone would propose a plan similar to the one from 2005, Cardinal Puljic is not optimistic that it could be implemented and enforced.

He believes it is necessary to create good will that what is wanted for your own people to be recognized for the other as well, and what you do not want, should not be imposed on others.

“Leave us to do our religious service, and you politicians find a smart head if you can, and do something. And let every man feels that you are working for the people, and not for your own interest,” concluded Cardinal Vinko Puljic.
