CEC BiH awards 80 Mandates in the House of Peoples of FBiH Parliament

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina today awarded the remaining four mandates in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one from the ranks of the Serb people and three from the ranks of the Others, in accordance with the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the criteria and procedure for filling the remaining mandates in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In accordance with the Election Law of BiH, the cantonal legislative bodies elect 80 delegates to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, 23 from the ranks of Bosniak peoples, 23 from the ranks of Serb people, 23 from the ranks of Croat people and 11 from the ranks of Others.

Earlier, the BiH Central Election Commission determined the results of the indirect elections and awarded 76 mandates in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.

Mandates in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were awarded to Kristina Petrović – Serb, Belma Kapo – Others, Halil Selimbašić – Others and Almir Babajić – Others.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, after considering the reports on the checks carried out after the expiry of the deadline for eliminating irregularities, completed the verification procedure of political parties and independent candidates for participation in the early elections for the mayors of the cities of Bihać, Tuzla, Srebrenik and Zvornik, as well as the municipality mayors of Bratunac and Vogošća municipalities, which will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina certified 13 political parties and 7 independent candidates.

Today, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Instruction on Amendments and Changes to the Instruction on the Procedure for the Implementation of Indirect Elections for Authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
