Celebration of 71st Anniversary of Battle for Wounded on Neretva

neretva,-bitkaIn the organization of the Alliance of the anti-fascists and combatants of the national liberation war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the celebration of the 7th Anniversary will be held on Saturday, 10 May in Jablanica.

Moreover, the SABNORBiH Jablanica, Association Josip Broz Tito from Jablanica and the museum “Battle for wounded on Neretva”, will also do the organizational activities. In addition, SABNORBiH and Jablanica municipality will be the sponsors.

With a humble program, the anniversary of one of the most important battles from the Second World War – The battle on the Neretva, will be celebrated. Traditionally, before the official part, the action named “Flower for Wounded” and lowering of 71 carnations on the Neretva will take place. Later on, the flowers will be put on the monument of the museum of “Battle for casualties on Neretva” accompanied by the solemnly academy.

The legendary battle for casualties on the Neretva was one of the most humane battles in the history of warfare, which influenced the flow of the national liberation battle in 1941-1945 and the Second World War on the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
