Namely, the Centar Municipality allocated 44.500 BAM for the procurement of a vehicle for transportation of passengers and donated it to the Institute for Urgent Medical Help. This is a continuation of longtime practice of the Centar Municipality, which strongly supports health institutions and provides substantial funds for the improvement of services offered to the patients.

During the delivery of the vehicle, Mayor Bećirević pointed out that during 2014 the Centar Municipality donated three vehicles to the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo.

“The Centar Municipality has been supporting all medical institutions in the Sarajevo Canton for years, including the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, the General Hospital Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš, as well as the Public Institution Health Centers in the Sarajevo Canton. Given that we have already donated certain equipment to all institutions in the previous period, it is now time to donate something to the Institute for Urgent Medical Help. It is needless to say how important a new vehicle is in performing everyday job in the Emergency Service. This is a minimum of what Municipality of Centar can do. We are not helping the directors of these institutions, but we are helping our fellow citizens to have a better service. If we save a single life with this vehicle, we did a great thing” Bećirević said.

Director Softić-Taljanović said that the donated vehicle will be used for transportation of patients to the hemodialysis centers.

“I would like to thank the Centar Municipality and Mayor Bećirević for having empathy towards the patients in the Emergency Service. This donation is of great significance for our patients and there is no need to especially highlight how much use we will have from it. However, the patients will benefit the most from this donation, because now they will be transported better and safer from their homes to the hemodialysis centers,” said Softić-Taljanović.
