The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina fined the SDA party with 1,000 BAM today because it paid for the promotion of this party, i.e. its leader Bakir Izetbegovic, before the start of the pre-election campaign.
At today’s session of the CEC of BiH, among other things, the objection of the SDP of BiH that the SDA paid for the public advertising of the candidate Bakir Izetbegovic before the official start of the pre-election campaign was considered.
The SDP of BiH submitted a complaint to the CEC in which they state that the SDA carried out public promotion through paid public advertising in the period after the announcement of the elections, and using the services of “BH Telecom” sent messages to thousands of voters asking them to vote in a media poll for Bakir Izetbegovic as the preferred candidate in the October general elections for a member of the BiH Presidency. The decision to punish SDA was made unanimously.
The CEC confirmed to Srna that SDA has the right to appeal against this decision of the CEC.
