The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljko Komsic, sent a condolence telegram to the family of the deceased Svetozar Pudaric, a prominent Bosnian politician.
It was with great sadness that I received the news of the death of my friend and friend Svetozar. In my personal memory, Svetozar will remain remembered as a man of exceptional human virtues and honesty.
With his sudden death, we lost a sincere fighter for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also a man who carried the idea of social democracy to heart for the rest of his life. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends, on behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on my own behalf.
Svetozar Pudaric, was a prominent member of Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina and former secretary general of the party. He has been seriously ill lately, and died at the age of 61.
He graduated in archeology in 1982 from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. He has been engaged in politics since 1976 when he joined the League of Communists of Yugoslavia. After the dissolution, he continued his political career in the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within which he held various positions, and at the last congress of that party he was one of the candidates for president.
In addition, he has held various public functions, such as a member of the Assembly of the City of Sarajevo, a representative of the Assembly of the Canton of Sarajevo, an envoy to the Serbs’ club of the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an MP in the Federation of BiH House of Representatives, and in 2011 he was elected Vice-President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Herzegovina.
