Chairman of Council of Ministers attends World Economic Forum Meetings in Davos

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina,  Denis Zvizdic attends the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, which brings together some 3,500 participants, 65 heads of states and some 40 leaders of international organizations.

Chairman Zvizdic attended today an informal gathering of world economic leaders “Culmination or a turning point for Europe?” discussing the need for strengthening the EU and defining the foreign policy priorities of the European Union.

Zvizdic has also attended the address of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who in his address stressed, among other things, that one of the goals of the UN would be to improve the capacity of less developed Member States and to encourage and assist in order to attract better quality investments and improve their economic development.

He has also attended the panel New Potentials for Europe, where panelists were premiers of Poland, Netherlands, Spain and European Commissioner for Trade Sesilija Malmstrom, as well as addressing of Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz.

At the margins of the World Economic Forum, Chairman Zvizdic met with Prime Minister of Macedonia Zoran Zaev and congratulated him on the success achieved regarding the change of name of his country. He said that the citizens of Macedonia have chosen the right path that leads them to the EU and NATO alliances.

The continuation of good cooperation between the two states was confirmed between Chairman Zvizdic and Marjan Sarec, Slovenian Prime Minister.

This year’s World Economic Forum is scheduled to hold about 350 sessions, and forum participants will, talk about a wide range of topics from the global economy to the climatic crisis.
