“Parking machines” are now set up in all public parking lots in Sarajevo, and parking will be charged 24 hours a day, every day, as confirmed by PUC RAD.

Spokesmen of PUC RAD Alen Ramic recalled that the price of parking for the zero and first zone is 2 BAM per hour and for the second zone it is 1 BAM per hour. The difference between the zero and the first zone is in the retention time. The maximum retention on the parking lot in the zero zone is 2 hours.

“There is one team that works by calling a colleague who checks whether or not payment has been made in these parking lots. In case that the conditions are fulfilled, and this is the ultimate measure applied, the blockades are placed on the car. Before that, warnings are placed for all users that remind them that it is it is necessary to make a payment,” said Ramic.

Ramic also added that parking machines are set up in all public parking lots, and signs are not placed on all parking places yet, but they will be set up very quickly.

“On these sings will be clearly stated that the collection of payments will be made 24 hours a day, every day, even on holidays, and it is also noted to which zone that parking lot belongs,” concluded Ramic.

To recall, public parking places were previously charged until 8 PM on working days and Saturdays, while they were not charged on Sunday and holidays.
