Children’s Programme and Teen Arena Programme of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival

For many years now, the Sarajevo Film Festival has been carefully selecting its contents and creating accompanying activities related to the Children’s Programme and the Teen Arena Programme.

With a diverse programme of films for children and teenagers, selected from around the world and adapted to these ages, and with colorful accompanying activities, the youngest viewers have the opportunity to develop a love for filmmaking, meet their peers, socialize and learn something new.

A total of 17 films will be shown in the Children’s programme and Teen Arena programme of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival. The Children’s programme brings 7 feature-length films to the youngest audience, while the Teen Arena programme will show 6 feature-length films and one block of 4 short films.

In the Children’s programme will be shown: DANCING QUEEN by Aurora Gossé, THE HULLABALOOS by Reetta Huhtanen, KIDDO by Zara Dwinger, SCRAPPER by Charlotte Regan, SNOT & SPLASH – THE MYSTERY OF THE DISAPPEARING HOLES by Teemu Nikki, TOTEM by Sander Burger and TIME TO GET AWAY! by Lisa Diaz.

In the Teen Arena programme, you will be able to watch films: BELONGING by Mete Gümürhan, LONGING FOR THE WORLD by Jenna Hasse, ROBOT DREAMS by Pablo Berger, SWEET AS by Jub Clerc, THE FANTASTIC THREE by Michaël Dichter and WE HAVE A DREAM by Pascal Pisson. The TEENARENA SHORTS block will show films: AAAAH! by  Osman Cerfon, CATCHING BIRDS by Simon Maria Kublena and Lea Maria Lembke, MY MOTHER AND I by Emma Branderhorst and SIMO by Aziza Zoromba.

Films from the Children’s Programme and Teen Arena Programme will be shown at the Youth Theatre, Novi Grad Cinema, Children’s House Novo Sarajevo and MMC – Ilidža Cinema.

29th Sarajevo Film Festival will take place from 11th to 18th of August 2023.
