Christmas Concert held for the First Time in Prijedor

A festive Christmas concert called “The First Time in Prijedor” was held at the Prijedor Theater in front of a large number of guests.  This historic event for the first time in the city of Prijedor was jointly organized by the Bosnian Cultural Center in Prijedor and the Roman Catholic Parish Office of St. Joseph of Prijedor, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

The Christmas Concert Program with Christmas carols was performed by the Holy Sunday Vocal Ensemble under the conductorship of Professor Ana Benkovic and the choirs of the BCC Prijedor – mixed choir Harmony and children’s choir Melody from Sanski Most and choir KUD Osman Dzafic.

The event was attended by a large number of believers, as well as representatives of political, cultural and religious life from Prijedor and the wider region.

The meeting was addressed by Bishop of Banja Luka msg.Franjo Komarica, who said that “organizing a Christmas concert for the first time in Prijedor is an extremely important historical step in reviving this type of religious culture of Bosnian Croats – Catholics.”
