The protest, organized by the Union of Persons and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, began at 3 p.m. in front of the Pazarić Institution.
The Union said that they are looking for the replacement of the management of the Institute, and the deadline they have given to the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to do so is until the end of next week. They emphasized that the person who recorded the video should not be punished.
In an earlier announcement by the Union, it was said that the protest was intended to show support for all persons staying at the Institute and their families, as well as all honorable and dedicated employees who do their work professionally and with a lot of empathy.
“We want to send a message that our society and institutions must have zero tolerance for any form of violence and that the perpetrators must be sanctioned. Firing one employee is not a solution to the problem. For months, we have been asking for the dismissal of the Director of the Institute, whom we consider responsible for the events that the public had access to. There was no reaction from the authorities,” said the Union.
