13598925_1791965667706776_1687524587_nBosnia and Herzegovina was added to the list of 36 countries whose citizens can obtain a tourist visa at the border of Qatar.

This way, the authorities in Qatar enabled the citizens of BiH, holders of all types of passports (ordinary, official, diplomatic) to easily come in their country as tourists, which was impossible before. No other country in the region has this treatment.

The liberalization of the visa regime for BiH citizens followed after the visit of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to BiH and conversation with members of the Presidency of BiH, as well as the meeting of the foreign ministers of both countries.

Citizens of BiH who want to obtain a tourist visa at the border of Qatar, at the “International Airport Hamad” in Doha, should have a return plane ticket, hotel reservation and at least 5,000 QAR (about 2,500 BAM), or equivalent amount in another currency.

The visa costs 100 QAR (about 50 BAM) and it will be valid up to one month. With this visa is not permitted to work in Qatar.

The possibility for BiH citizens to obtain a tourist visa at the border of Qatar represent a great diplomatic success and an incentive for improvement of bilateral relations between BiH and the State of Qatar, as announced from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
