livnoA group of citizens from Livno held a protest of support today regarding the issue of the unique master citizen number (JMB).

The gathering took place at the central square by the monument to the Croatian King Tomislav, and started with a symbolic “Five to Twelve”, and activists had placards, balloons and other props.

This is the first organized multiethnic and civil gathering of people from Livno since the pre-war period.

The message sent out from the Livno gathering was the adoption of a law on the JMB until the end of the month, and a reduction of salaries of representatives by 30 percent to be used for a fund for treating sick children abroad.

Around 500 people gathered today at the square in Livno for the peaceful protest.

The gathering took place with the presence of only a few police officers and there were no incidents.
