After the publication of a video from the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth in Pazarić, in which an employee of the Institute beats and mistreats residents of this institution, the public is appalled.

The Union of Persons with Disabilities and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities in FBiH will hold a protest tomorrow in Pazarić.

A peaceful gathering of citizens has been announced for Saturday, August 19, starting at 3 p.m.

“‘Say NO!’ to abuse and discrimination of persons and children with disabilities and developmental difficulties”, is the slogan of the protest.

The peaceful gathering will be held in front of the Institution in Pazarić, at the address Resnik bb.

Let’s remind you, only four years ago, a lot of media dust was raised by photos showing how the children of the Institute were tied to beds, radiators…

The latest footage was published by Al Jazeera, and in a conversation with one of the employees, who gave a statement while hiding his identity, it was said that such scenes of mistreatment happen all the time, that individuals try to warn about them, so that the beating of residents stops, but that so far nothing was done about it.
