Clinton about B&H: We should celebrate what happened 20 years ago

clintonFormer US President Bill Clinton praised the city of Dayton, which, in his opinion, played an important role 20 years ago in stopping the bloodshed in B&H.

Back in 1995, the peace agreement that ended the war in B&H and brought a new administrative and political structure to this country was signed in this city.

He noted that the whole world can learn a lesson from the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

He also added that everyone should celebrate what happened 20 years ago.

“We have to give our thanks to all of those who could jeopardize the agreement in the past 20 years, and they did not. Also, we need to finish the job when it comes to the Dayton Peace Agreement,” stated Clinton.

According to his opinion, the real challenge in the 21st century is between cooperation and conflict. He believes that it is crucial to shake the hand of other one, as well as that B&H needs new changes.

“If you want to achieve success on the long term, you cannot control every person. Due to the fact that borders more and more look like networks, and less like walls, it is very important to make as many steps as possible towards a better life,” concluded Clinton.
