Closing Conference of the Project “STARS” Financed by the EU on November 12th

DVV InternationalThe Institute for International Cooperation of the German Union of High Public Schools – DVV International – along with the partners: Institute for education of adults RS and the Mixed Secondary School Tešanj organizes on November 12th at the hotel Europe the closing conference of the project “STARS – Strengthening Adult Education Resources in Technical and Vocational Schools in B&H”.

The main aim of the conference is to present the results of the project and its possible influence on the development of education of adults in the technical and vocational schools in B&H. The participants of the conference are the representatives of the entity and cantonal Ministries of education, the Department for education of Brčko District, Pedagogic Institutes, Institutes for educations of adults RS as well as representatives of 21 school involved in the project. Further on, our aim is to consider the possibilities of including 32 pedagogues which went through adult education during the implementation of the project in the future processes of adult education.

The project financed by the EU in the amount of 99 992 70 Euros from the IPA funds 2009, co-financed by the DVV International in the amount of 17 645 78 Euros and implemented by the DVV International in cooperation with partnership organizations, Institute for education of adults RS and the Mixed Secondary School Tešanj is dedicated to strengthening of structures and capacities for adult education in the technical and vocational schools. Therefore, besides pedagogues trained to work with the educators of adults, the target group is made out of schools e.g. their coordinators and main political actors that, in the best case, can steer up and support processes of innovative development.

The discussion about project activities effectuated from July 2013 to November 2014 will be held at the conference. During the expert part of the conference the participants will discuss the future of education, learning and training of adults in secondary technical and vocational schools in B&H. Besides, the public will have the opportunity to see the presentation of the STARS publication to be distributed to all relevant institutions in the country during and after the conference.
