cnnAt the beginning of next year should start the program N1, that in cooperation with the famous international TV network, the American CNN will broadcast regional news program in the area of the former Yugoslavia.

According to the announcement the program can be watched from more than 15 million people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia , and will be broadcasted from three major information- production center in Zagreb, Belgrade and Sarajevo, but also from other cities in the region. Centers will have special coordination.

The General Director of the Program is the former CNN reporter Brent Sadler, who has announced that the television will develop its own specific content based on the news from the region that will be at the same time reported from the three capital cities.

“The cooperation with CNN brings us valuable experience in the field of journalism, editorial and making programs”, stated Sadler.

The main sponsor of the N1 is United Group, or “pay TV” platform that includes Total TV, the largest satellite platform in the region, followed by cable operators Telemach B&H and Telemach Slovenia, and SBB, the largest cable operator in Serbia. According to the contract CNN will provide support, from consulting to training staff at the headquarters in Atlanta. About N1 currently is very little revealed because the leaders of the project keep it all strictly confidential.

Cable News Network ( CNN) was established in1980 by the billionaire and media magnate Ted Turner and he was the first one to start a 24-hour news program. Until then, in the U.S. there was no TV stations that broadcasted only news.

While the competition was initially ironic at the Turner’s project, believing that a program consisting only of news will fail, especially considering the fact that the Turner was refused by some region’s TV star of that time, he was not put off. He started across the America gathering collaborators, mostly students of journalism, because he wanted his people to always be “on the scene”.
Soon after CNN became leading TV network, a model after which started working many media channels. According to data from Time Warner, CNN International in English can be watched in 212 countries and territories and there are established even informative TV stations in other languages - Spanish, Turkish and Japanese. CNN is the only channel that broadcasted live the launch of the space shuttle Challenger in 1986 and a number of other extraordinary events.
