Coca-Cola: Sales in BiH exceeded 100 Million Liters

Coca-Cola company realized last year 10 percent growth in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), with sales exceeding 100 million liters.

This data is mentioned in a report by Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC), which operates in 28 countries, and is one of the largest units within the American giant.

Coca-Cola HBC had sales revenues of 6.52 billion euros last year, which is increase of 4.9 percent compared to a year earlier. Sales volume grew by 2.2 percent to more than two billion measuring units. Overall, earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) increased by 20 percent to 621 million euros.

When it comes to BiH, data on revenues or profit are not reported, but only on the volume of sales.

As it was said, sales in BiH amounted to 18.3 million measuring units last year, compared to 16.7 million from the previous year. One measuring unit is about 5.7 liters, or 24 servings. This means that the company last year sold about 104 million liters in BiH, unlike about 95 million liters from 2016.

On the level of the entire Coca-Cola HBC, sales of carbonated drinks increased by 2.3 percent, with the highest growth of Coke Zero (+ 22.4%), Schweppes (+ 5.1%) and Fanta (+ 2.7% ). Water sales increased by 3 percent, and energy drinks sales by 20 percent. Juice sales decreased by 0.8 percent, and tea sales by 7.1 percent.
