The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Fronda, met with the Minister of the Interior of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ramo Isak, in Sarajevo to discuss the current security landscape and the importance of continued cooperation.

The meeting focused on the role of law enforcement institutions in maintaining stability, as well as the importance of coordination between EUFOR and domestic security actors. Both parties exchanged views on current challenges and emphasised the need for a unified and proactive approach to preserving a safe and secure environment.

Major General Fronda highlighted EUFOR’s continued engagement with authorities across Bosnia and Herzegovina, underlining the importance of strong institutional partnerships.

Close cooperation with domestic security institutions is essential to ensuring a stable and secure environment,” he stated.
“EUFOR remains ready to support and complement the efforts of national authorities in line with its mandate.”

Discussions also addressed the broader security framework, including the importance of preparedness and effective response mechanisms. EUFOR’s ongoing activities, including joint engagement and coordination with security partners, were recognised as key contributors to maintaining situational awareness and operational readiness.

Through its continuous presence, engagement, and readiness, EUFOR reinforces its commitment to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, contributing to a stable and secure environment for all citizens across the country.
