Commander of NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo on a two-day visit to Banja Luka

During his stay in Banja Luka, General Matthew Valas also met with the Head of the Regional Office of the High Representative in Banja Luka, Michael Černy.

In the midst of the political crisis with the arrest of the President of the Republika Srpska entity, Milorad Dodik, General Valas traveled on a two-day visit to Banja Luka.

“The Commander of NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Matthew Valas, is on a two-day visit to Banja Luka. During his visit, Brigadier General Valas met today with Michal Černy, Head of the OHR Regional Office in Banja Luka, to update on the current political and security situation in BiH and to exchange views,” NATO Headquarters in BiH wrote.

NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo has a very close and successful cooperation with the Office of the High Representative, and in times of political crisis, the exchange of information between these actors is of key importance.
