The City of Konjic and the Association of Employers and Self-Employed Businessmen, with the aim of presenting all the economic potential in the area as well as possible, organized a series of meetings where businessmen from Italy, Germany and Austria had the opportunity to present their work.
The mayor of Konjic, Osman Catic, said after one of those meetings that the goal is to present quality projects that will enable further economic development of the local community.
“The recognition that the City of Konjic received as the “Crown of Economic Development” is well-deserved and our goal is to justify it in the future as well. It is an obligation for all of us to be even more oriented towards people who want to invest in the area of Konjic. As before, with the Association of Employers, we will try to monitor all the needs expressed by businessmen, directing our activities towards them,” said the mayor.
He added that the goal is to preserve the achieved level of production and employment, as well as to create conditions for further expansion of both production and employment.
The President of the Association of Employers and Independent Entrepreneurs in Konjic, Jasmin Badzak, assessed that it is important that, after getting to know the possibilities that Konjic offers, certain ideas can be created on how and in what way one can be at the service of interested investors.
“We are currently looking for a new workforce and I think that all these activities can lead to a higher quality workforce, through additional education and applying the experiences of colleagues from Austria, Germany and Italy. With joint efforts, the City of Konjic and our associates will continue to work on the education of high school students in accordance with the needs of the labor market, in order to provide them with jobs as easily as possible,” said Badzak.
