What are the Conclusions of the Joint Session of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers and the President of Serbia?

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic confirmed after the meeting with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, that a joint session of the two governments should take place in Serbia this November.

“BiH and Serbia are the first neighbors that are sharing the same geographical territory and the same intentions in relation to membership in the EU. That is what determines our relationships and gives us a map for further development and strengthening of our overall political, economic and social cooperation,” noted Chairman Zvizdic.

Vucic noted that the atmosphere between the two countries changed and that despite the desire of many people to always talk about problems and hate, they managed to overcome it, and there is a much better understanding now than it used to be before. He noted that everyone is now looking into the future.

As he said, they also discussed certain energy projects that must be discussed at the entity level. He expressed the wish for all members of the Presidency of BiH gather in Belgrade by the end of the year.

He also noted that BiH is the most important partner for Serbia and that it is very important to abolish the non-custom taxes. He stated that they represent a barrier to businessmen.

He added that there was no talk about any problems between Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats in BiH, after which he thanked all those who are looking to the future.

“We do not have to forget the past, but let’s concentrate on the future,” said Vucic, and noted that there is no need for anyone to make a big deal of Serbia because Serbia is a friendly country for BiH.

Vucic said that Serbia never put the territorial integrity of BiH into question nor interfered with internal affairs in BiH, and he noted that they will continue with such a policy in the future as well.
