The Confucius Institute opened in Banja Luka

The President of the entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Republika Srpska (RS) – Milorad Dodik, and Deputy Mayor of Tianjin – Jao Haisan, opened yesterday the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka, in order to improve cooperation between the smaller BH entity and China.

Dodik emphasized that this is an important day for the RS and the University of Banja Luka.

“Opening the Confucius Institute is proof of friendship and successful cooperation between RS and China, “ Dodik said.

The Ambassador of China to BiH, Chen Bo, expressed the pleasure of opening the Confucius Institute in Banja Luka, and thanked the RS leadership for the successful cooperation.

Acting Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Radoslav Gajanin, said that RS and this University joined the community of 525 established Confucius Institutes worldwide, which are attended by nine million of pupils and students.
