Tuzla Istanbul bhstring.netBesides development in terms of further development of cargo traffic, the Tuzla International Airport today received a sign of possible opening of a new air route towards the East.

At yesterday’s meeting of the members of Airport Administration and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce from Istanbul (Republic of Turkey), which was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton Bego Tutić, it was discussed about the establishment and improvement of cargo traffic between the Tuzla Canton and the Republic of Turkey.

Besides the export of food of animal origin to Turkey, the cargo center at the Airport also opens a perspective ov import of goods from Turkey to B&H via the airport in Tuzla. Besides these topics, it was also discussed today about the usage of Tuzla airport as a dispersive center for cargo traffic and transport of goods from Turkey towards the Western Europe.

In addition to cargo traffic, another topic of yesterday’s meeting was the passenger traffic. As highlighted, and given the expressed interest by the public, it is realistic to expect a direct connection of the Tuzla International Airport with Istanbul, the Turkish and Euro-Asian business and tourist center, after the opening of the air route connectin Tuzla and Vienna.

In this way, besides the relatively good connection with the Western Europe Tuzla would also be directly connected with the East. Delegation from Turkey also expressed readiness to assist in further development of the Airport, the Tuzla Canton and B&H as a whole by investing in infrastructure capacities of the Airport.
