Construction of the Roundabout in Mojmilo began

roundaboutPreparations for construction of the roundabout, which is to be a connecting point with the A Transversal, began this week between the settlements Dobrinja and Mojmilo.

The roundabout will connect the A Transversal with the Želimira Vidovića Street (X Transversal) and the Olimpijska Street. Works should be completed in several weeks, simultaneously with the completion of works on the A Transversal which are being executed nearby.

First part of the constructed A Transversal from the Airport to the entrance to Dobrinja settlement was opened in early April. The constructed part is actually a reconstruction of the already existing Braće Mulić Street.

Second part of the A Transversal is being built on entirely new route. Significant funds had to be provided for expropriation. Of all the facilities which had to be removed, only one more is directly on the route. Back in April, Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković said that he hopes that this matter will be solved soon.

Contractor for these works is the company Euro-asfalt and total value of the A Transversal is nearly 5.800.000 BAM. Funds were provided by the Sarajevo Canton through the Directorate for Roads of the Sarajevo Canton and the Municipality of Novi Grad.
