Council of Ministers BiH: BiH the First Country in The World With New Generation of Passports

passportThe BiH Council of Minister, on the proposal by the Agency for identification documents, registers and data exchange of BiH, adopted Regulations regarding the cost of passports, which provides for the introduction of a new generation of passports with a thin flexible polycarbonate identification side.

In that way, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the first country in the world with a new generation of passports which meets four conditions: laser personalization, online acquisition of data, polycarbonate side with data and a picture in color, was announced after the session of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The cost of the passports, which is valid for 10 years, is 50 BAM.

The average price of passports in the region and in Europe with a validity period of 10 years is 64.8 euros.

The cost of passports for children aged 3 to 18 years, which is valid for five years, is 40.00 BAM, and for children under the age of three years the cost of the passport is 30.00 BAM, with a validity period of three years.
