Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina uphelds Judgment in the Case of Izet Redzovic et al.

On 11 November 2019 the Appellate Division Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered an appeals judgment in the case of Izet Redžović et al. dismissing as ill-founded the appeals filed by the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the appeals filed by defense counsel, while upholding the trial judgment of the Court of BiH dated 12 July 2019.

The trial judgment of the Court of BiH dated 12 July 2019 found the accused Izet Redžović and Bojan Raonić guilty of the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 342(2) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC FBiH) as read with the criminal offense of Forgery of a Document under Article 373(2) as read with Paragraph 1, and Certification of Untrue Content under Article 375(2) as read with Paragraph 1 of the same code.

The Court sentenced the accused Izet Redžović to 5 (five) years and 8 (eight) months of imprisonment, and the accused Bojan Raonić to 5 (five) years of imprisonment. The accused Bojan Melezović, Salih Bota, Admir Malić, Nedžad Bajrović, Mithad Vejo and Bojan Raonić were acquitted of the charges that by the acts described in the acquittal they committed the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 342(2) of the CC FBiH as read with the criminal offense of Forgery of a Document under Article 373(2) as read with Paragraph 1, and Certification of Untrue Content under Article 375(2) as read with Paragraph 1 of the same code, while charges were dismissed in relation to the accused Bojan Raonić concerning the acts described in the dismissing part of the judgment.
