The President of the Croatian National Assembly (HNS) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Covic, participating in the Conference of Ambassadors, Consuls General, Consuls and Military Envoys of the Republic of Croatia in Zagreb, informed those present about the political crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As reported by HNS, Covic on that occasion warned of the biggest crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina since Dayton.

In this light, he pointed out that it is important to use the polite language of diplomacy to convey the truth about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to raise awareness of the alarming political agendas that call for the collapse of the agreement that brought peace to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“He warned against inflammatory rhetoric, hate speech and attacks directed not only at the legitimate representatives of the Croatian people but also at the Croatian people as a whole, the Catholic faith and Croatian symbols. “Amendments to the Electoral Law are indicated as a priority and basis for the formation of the government after the October elections, but also the return of reconciliation between the Bosniak and Croat people in BiH”, according to the HNS.

The high-ranking officials gathered at the conference in Zagreb discussed the role of the Republic of Croatia and its representatives in the world and the position of Croats outside the Republic of Croatia, and Covic addressed the audience during a panel discussion where he spoke about relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, as well as the current and planned cooperation.

On the sidelines of the conference, Covic held working meetings with high-ranking officials, with whom he discussed the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the necessary steps to achieve progress and protect the Croatian people, the press release states.
