In the south of our country, and partly in the central regions, we must be prepared for high rainfall that also brings certain risks when it comes to BiH – the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute warns.
“When it comes to rainfall, we expect higher amounts in the south and southwest of BiH and partly in the central regions – this is an area that is at risk due to intense rainfall and higher amounts expected in this period. The culmination of these rainfalls is expected on the night from Monday to Tuesday,” says Bakir Krajinović, meteorologist at the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute.
Professor at the Faculty of Forestry of UNSA Muhamed Bajrić believes that these new rainfalls, half the October rainfall, could cause catastrophic consequences.
The Jablanica Municipal Civil Protection Headquarters has issued a warning to legal and natural persons to take preventive protection and rescue measures against the forecasted heavy rainfall and strong gusts of southerly wind.
