As reported by the BBC, the development of digital technology brought some novelties when it comes to protection of credit cards, which will increase the security of private property clients. The company that is engaged in digital security “Oberthur Technologies” from France is currently negotiating with banks in the UK, in order to enable consumers in France to have a credit card with a digital display by the end of the year.
The screen, with the randomly generated security code on it, would serve as one of the most efficient tools in the fight against numerous scams, primarily in France and then throughout the world.
“In some way, we are surprised that it took so long for something like this to arrive,” said the Professor Alan Woodward, an expert on cybercrime from the University of Surrey.
Otherwise, this card will provide additional security system via digital display, through which will be changed the security code every hour, which normally appears on the back of the card, and each user will have the additional security while using a card.
The screen will be powered by very thin lithium battery, which is designed to last for more than three years.
