The accused Damir Miskin (1968), accused of committing the criminal offense of War Crimes of Rape and Sexual Abuse of a Bosniak Victim in the Nevesinje Area, pleaded guilty to war crimes committed in June 1992 in the presence of a lawyer.

By confession, the Accused fully admitted his participation in the committed crime, and waived his right to a trial and the right to appeal the verdict handed down to him by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus speeding up the process.

Prior to concluding the agreement, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH conducted interviews with the relatives of the injured party, who is no longer alive, who pointed out that they want the accused to be held accountable for the crimes committed and agreed to conclude this agreement.

After consideration, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the agreement and sentenced the accused to four years in prison, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH announced.
