Decrease in Number of slaughtered Sheep in BiH

In September 2020 the number of slaughtered cattle in Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 56,49% and pigs by 7,99%, while the number of slaughtered sheep decreased by 25,96% and poultry by 3,49% in relation with the same period of 2019, according to BH Agency for Statistics.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle increased by 122,23% and of slaughtered pigs by 13,31%, while the net weight of slaughtered sheep decreased by 27,66% and of slaughtered poultry by 3,21% in relation with the same period of 2019. 

In September of 2020 the total amount of collected cow’s milk increased by 8,5% in relation with the same period of 2019. Production of drinking milk decreased by 18,1% acidified milk by 11,3%, while the production of cream increased by 3,5%, butter and other yellow fat products by 46,0% and cow’s cheese by 1,1% in relation with the same period of 2019. 

The total amount of milk fat decreased by 0,5%, while the total amount of milk protein remained on the same level in relation to the same period of 2019.
