Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdic spoke on Wednesday with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden and the Minister for the Environment and Climate, Isabella Lövin, in Sarajevo.

Chairman Zvizdic said that these are two friendly countries and that bilateral relations were constantly on the rise.

He briefed Minister Lövin on the current political and economic situation in BiH and the region, and informed about BiH’s European path and reform processes.

He regretted that the initiated reforms were blocked because of political games, as this is causing the greatest damage to businessmen, citizens, and especially young people. He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina needs assistance in the areas of waste and wastewater management and air quality. He stressed that the idea of depositing Croatia’s nuclear waste along the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina is unacceptable for our country.

Minister Lövin emphasized Sweden’s unquestionable support for BiH’s European integration. She added that the Kingdom of Sweden has been one of the largest donors to Bosnia and Herzegovina for years and that BiH can still count on Sweden’s assistance and support.
