12804017_1737837426452934_992671012_nHumane group of people with BiH origin that are living in the Scandinavian countries founded the association “New Hope” seven years ago. During this period, they helped many citizens of our country, especially the orphans and children with developmental disabilities.

These people have left their homeland, but they never forgot those who stayed in it.

They founded the association back in 2009 in Fredrikstad hoping that it will be a bridge between our fellow citizens in Scandinavia and institutions that are helping children in BiH. The reason for founding the association is the fact that the aid can be directly delivered to the institutions and that it is the guarantee that their help will go to those who need it.

They are currently implementing the activity “Together for Children’s Smile” which was started two months ago with BH Fanatikos. They distributed gifts to children that would ended up without them because their parents or guardians are not able to “buy” this joy for them. They visited a number of institutions from Pazarici through Novi Travnik, Maglaj, Srebrenica, Bratunac, Zvornik, Tuzla, Modrica to Lukavac. Besides the institutions that are helping children, they also visited the socially vulnerable families and divided aid packages to them as well.

“We are planning next activity in late March or early April, and it is intended for the Health Care Centre Kljuc and the Cantonal Hospital in Bihac. So far, we have collected one ambulance vehicle in excellent condition with full equipment, an ultrasound, two X-ray machines and plenty of disability tools. Since our establishment until today, we have been able to send 36 shipping (large trucks with stuff) with different kind of aid all across the country,” said Muhamed Sehic, president of the association.

The association “New Hope” has about 300 members who are giving their contribution on a voluntary basis and work hard to help people in BiH.
